Coral Bealer, LSW
Therapist
My name is Coral Bealer, and I am a 28-year-old social worker from Cleveland, Ohio. I am a proud graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where I earned my Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in dual disorders, mental health, and substance use. My journey into social work began with a deeply personal mission: to create a safe and supportive space where individuals, especially those from marginalized and underrepresented communities, can feel empowered to embrace their authentic selves.
As a Black woman, I know firsthand the challenges of navigating a world that often places heavy labels on us—sometimes denying us the opportunity to simply be soft, vulnerable, or heard without judgment. Too often, our voices are misunderstood or silenced, and our struggles minimized. For me, social work is not just a profession, it is a calling—a way to help dismantle those barriers, uplift my community, and promote healing through the lens of mental health. I believe it is time for us, as a collective, to reclaim our narrative, redefine our strength, and prioritize our mental well-being.
Since 2017, I have gained extensive experience across multiple areas of social work, including case management, residential programs, intermediate care facilities, counseling, and administration. My work has allowed me to serve a wide and diverse population—ranging from adolescents navigating identity and transition, to adults facing complex challenges with mental health and substance use. Each role I have held has strengthened my ability to meet people where they are and guide them toward meaningful progress.
At the heart of my practice is a deep passion for uplifting clients and walking alongside them as they grow into the best versions of themselves. My approach blends empathy, encouragement, and grace, creating an environment where clients feel safe to explore their vulnerabilities and empowered to embrace change—even when it feels uncomfortable. I often remind my clients that therapy is not a sprint but a marathon. Growth takes time, and while change can sometimes feel daunting, it is also the gateway to transformation. My role is to stand beside them during that journey—offering guidance, validation, and unwavering support every step of the way.
I am especially passionate about working with the BIPOC community, helping individuals address the unique mental health stressors that arise from lived experiences of racism, systemic inequities, and cultural pressures. Whether it’s navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, or identity struggles, I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive space where healing can begin.
Ultimately, my mission is to help people recognize that they are not defined by their hardships but strengthened by their resilience. Together, we can face challenges, celebrate victories—big and small—and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
